Hey NSBE! We hope that you’re excited about #NSBE49 coming up in March! Please use this Sign-Up form that serves as a one-stop shop for competition sign-ups. Take the time to see each competition’s sign-up page to learn more about how you can showcase your technical and professional skills at Annual Convention to win a number of prizes! Please note that to enter a competition, you must (1) be an active NSBE member, and (2) be registered for Annual Convention. You are also allowed to enter more than 1 competition. Simply complete the form again for the relevant competition(s) you’d also like to sign up for. The deadline to sign up for these competitions is Friday, March 3rd 11:59 PT. If you have any questions about a particular competition, the POC for that competition is listed on the respective sign-up page within the form.   • Welcome to the 2022-2023 NSBE Hack-a-thon brought to you by Cummins Inc. We appreciate your interest in participating in this event, sponsored by Cummins Inc. NSBE members are invited to form teams and compete for awards and prizes.This contest will put your cybersecurity skills to the test as you will be trying to hack into their system. Each team must have four members and participate in a mandatory training session led by Cummins representatives prior to the convention. Preference will be given to all-female teams. First-place winners will receive a scholarship of $1500 each and second-place winners will receive iPad Air + Cummins Swag boxes.

Technical Research Exhibition (TRE)
  • The Technical Research Exhibition (TRE) is designed to showcase the NSBE members’ technical accomplishments and technical communication skills. This program both recognizes accomplishment and provides a forum for growth. Two tracks allow for recognition of student accomplishment at various stages of a project.The competition provides an opportunity for undergraduate students, graduate students, and technical professionals to present their research findings while encouraging undergraduate students to showcase their research, learn from their peers, and pursue graduate degrees.

Academic Technical Bowl (ATB)
  • Academic Technical Bowl is a jeopardy-style game that encourages and showcases Academic Excellence and understanding of the fundamental principles of engineering covered in typical senior engineering standardized tests such as the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam, or Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) Exam.

Elevator Pitch
  • Welcome to the 2023 NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) Elevator Pitch Competition. We appreciate your interest in participating in this event, hosted by the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Engineering Diversity. NSBE entrepreneurs are invited to form teams and compete for awards, prizes, and the opportunity to pitch their ideas to seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, and potential business partners.
