Welcome to Region V!

Austin Mamou, 2020 National Convention Planning Committee Chair

NSBE Members and Friends,

On behalf of the national leadership of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), I am pleased to formally invite you to attend our 46th Annual Convention (#NSBE46). This landmark event will be held at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, on March 25–29, 2020, in NSBE’s “Vanguard Region,” Region V.

This year’s convention theme is “#NSBE46: Engineering the Revolution,” a phrase that refers to four crucial aspects of positive change: 1. Societal Revolution (in how we conduct NSBE business), 2. Personal Revolution (professional growth and development), 3. Cultural Revolution (cultural responsibility and consciousness) and 4. Industrial Revolution (technical excellence and training).

As we look forward to our transformative event next March, I urge you to realize that the Revolution starts with you. Let’s continue to FOCUS on NSBE’s “Why?” — the purpose of our Society

— which is to advance NSBE’s mission and continue making progress toward our “10K Goal”: to lead the U.S. to graduate 10,000 black bachelor’s degree candidates per year in engineering by 2025.

We hope to see you at #NSBE46 in San Antonio next March because the Revolution will not be televised! The Convention Planning Committee is hard at work developing a Revolutionary experience that we hope will change your life forever; all we need is you.

Five Deep!
