Pittsburgh CEO

We are thrilled to host your annual meeting and engineering conference.

Dear Friends:

It is my great pleasure to welcome members of the National Society of Black Engineers back to Pittsburgh for a fourth time! We are thrilled to host your annual meeting and engineering conference. You will see that Pittsburgh has made great strides in engineering and technology in the recent past, staying true to its roots as a hub for industry and innovation.

As President and CEO of VisitPITTSBURGH, I have a great appreciation for the mission of NSBE – to give young people an opportunity to cultivate their skills in order to make a positive impact on their community. Pittsburgh has become an ideal place to do just that, with our prestigious, long-standing universities, as well as, industry leaders like Argo, PPG and FedEx Services. Our partnership on the Bridge Scholarship Program is a source of pride for us at VisitPITTSBURGH, and we look forward to continuing this relationship.

Pittsburgh is known for its advances not only in technology and robotics, but also in healthcare, medical facilities, clean energy and green buildings – and we’re not done yet. Pittsburgh continues to make headlines as a city on the rise, and we are always looking for ways to showcase the best of what we have to offer.

During your time here in Pittsburgh, I am sure you will bear witness to unique attractions both old and new. Pittsburgh’s culinary scene is bursting with new flavors. Our Cultural District is home to nine world-class theaters and our 90 neighborhoods, over a diverse landscape, embrace a vibrant culture distinctive to this city. I encourage you to discover the unique charm of Pittsburgh and kindness of its people.

Again, welcome back to Pittsburgh – we are so happy to have you here. Best wishes for a wonderful conference, and enjoy your time in the city.
